Closing a Chapter

An Empty Shop, Full of Memories

9/7/20251 min read

Today marks the official closing of the Whittle Bird Coffee and Kitchen chapter. Walking through the shop with everything removed was a strange feeling—a mix of emptiness and fullness. The space felt bare, yet filled with memories of laughter, hard work, and community. It’s been a whirlwind week, filled with packing, organizing, selling, and giving away so many things as we prepared to leave. The process was exhausting but also a little freeing, letting go of what we no longer need.

The best news is that Harvey is doing so much better and is truly on the road to recovery. After a tough couple of weeks, that is definitely my “Something Good” for today.

Tomorrow, the journey continues as we head back down south. Our first stop will be Sturbridge, MA. Tonight, we’re off to dinner with friends for one last taste of Maine. Stay tuned for more updates as the adventure unfolds!
