Finding the Good on Tough Days

Today was a bit of a tough day. We packed up more of our house and are now down to just the odds and ends—which always seem to be the hardest part. It looks like we’ll be closing on our house in just a few days. Meanwhile, we still haven’t found a good solution for someone to take over Whittle Bird Coffee, and that’s weighing heavily on our minds.

Even amidst all this turmoil, I found myself seeking out the good more intentionally than usual. Knowing I’d be writing this blog tonight, I made a promise to myself to find something positive in each day, no matter how difficult. Today, my “Something Good” came in the form of absolutely beautiful weather! Yesterday was close to 90 degrees, which made packing up the storage shed pretty miserable. Maybe we’re just being prepared for moving back down South!

I’m exhausted from all the packing and mentally drained from trying to figure out what to do with our business, so I’m signing off for the day. Here’s to finding the good, even on the hard days.
